© Stefan Lubomirski de Vaux The Duke of Kent undertakes many Royal engagements, both representing The Queen and on behalf of the organisations with which he is involved. The Duke of Kent is a cousin to both The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, and the elder brother of Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra. His father, Prince George, was the fourth son of King George V and his mother, Princess Marina, was the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece. Following the death of his father in a flying accident, The Duke of Kent took up his Royal duties at an early age. For over 20 years he combined them with a military career in the British Army. The Duke of Kent undertakes many Royal engagements, both representing The Queen and on behalf of the organisations with which he is involved. As well as being a Knight of the Garter, he also holds other British and foreign orders and decorations. |
