Tennis was an Olympic event from 1896. The British team was particularly successful at the 1920 Games, held in Antwerp. Although never an Olympic competitor, the future King George VI was a keen tennis player. With his partner, Wing Commander (later Sir Louis) Greig, the Duke of York won the doubles match in the Air Force Cup tennis doubles in 1920, the date of this photograph
