Drawing from the book 'Designs for headdresses to be worn at court'

This drawing is from a book of 'Designs for headdresses to be worn at court', made by the early eighteenth-century draughtsman Bernard Lens. It dates from between 1725 and 1727, thus straddling the reigns of George I and George II. The drawings include both male and female dress. At left and centre a man's flat-crowned wig with bow and bag is shown.
