| Design for the new pelmet in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor after the fire |
|
After the devastating fire at Windsor in 1992, Pamela Lewis (one of Britain's leading authorities of historic interior decorating) was employed to provide appropriate designs for the replacement fabrics, curtains, passementerie and upholstery in the principal rooms. The original designs made for these rooms by Morel and Seddon in the 1820s provided valuable documentation of their intended appearance. This design by Pamela Lewis shows the new pelmet in the Green Drawing Room, drawn at full size.
