The Duke of Gloucester to visit Yorkshire, 25 November 2008

The Duke of Gloucester will undertake a series of engagements during a visit to Yorkshire on 25 November 2008.
His Royal Highness will visit Lineham Farm Children's Centre in Eccup. Located on a converted 17th century farm near Leeds, the centre is a registered charity which offers breaks for children aged 8-12 (up to 18 years of age for those with disabilities) who would benefit from a week of horizon-broadening, confidence-building activity.
The Duke will afterwards open a new unit at Overgate Hospice in Elland, near Halifax. The hospice has 12 specialist pallitive care beds in an inpatient unit and reaches out into the community through a Day Hospice provision and Specialist Advice Service.
The Duke of Gloucester will later officially launch the JumbleAid website in Huddersfield. The site allows users to convert unwanted goods into charity donations.
His Royal Highness will also visit King James's School in Almondbury, Huddersfield, to mark the 400th Anniversary of the signing of the school's Royal Charter.
