The massive building programme at Windsor in the 1820s included the creation of a magnificent new suite of rooms for the use of George IV. Although the architect Wyatville was employed to supervise all the building work, the rooms were decorated, furnished and upholstered by the firm of Morel and Seddon, on the basis of 'miniature designs' supplied by them for the King's approval. This design for the Green Drawing Room provided valuable guidance during the restoration work at Windsor after the 1992 fire. The Royal Collection © 2004 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II |
