Watercolour by Joseph Nash

In October 1844 Queen Victoria welcomed King Louis-Philippe and Queen Marie-Amélie as guests at Windsor Castle. On 10 October the Royal party embarked from the Quadrangle at Windsor to visit Twickenham, Hampton Court and Claremont. This watercolour by Joseph Nash shows the royal party travelling in the char-à-bancs recently given to Queen Victoria by King Louis-Philippe.
