LYING-IN-STATE OF QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER

The Coffin of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother will Lie-in-State in Westminster Hall until the morning of Tuesday, 9th April, 2002.

The Coffin will be guarded by Her Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, by The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard, by The Royal Company of Archers, The Queen's Body Guard for Scotland and by Officers of the Household Division.

People will be able to pay their respects at Westminster Hall on Friday 5th April (2pm - 6pm), and from Saturday 6th April to Monday 8th April inclusive (8am - 6pm).

On the morning of Tuesday, 9th April, 2002, the Coffin will be taken from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey for the Funeral Service.
