HRH The Duchess of Cornwall

When at Birkhall, Their Royal Highnesses enjoy fishing and walking in the Scottish countryside.

Like The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall enjoys gardening and has a particular interest in oil painting.

The Prince and The Duchess are also great supporters of the arts.

Their Royal Highnesses regularly attend concerts and theatre shows, which are often fundraising events for charities with which they are affiliated.

This is reflected in The Duchess’s patronage of the London Chamber Orchestra, St John's, Smith Square, and the New Queen’s Hall Orchestra. Their Royal Highnesses are also Joint Patrons of the restored Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond, Yorkshire.

The Duchess is the Patron of Tetbury Film Society which is close to Their Royal Highnesses’ family home at Highgrove.

Animals

The Duchess takes a keen and knowledgeable interest in animals, especially horses and dogs.

The Duchess also enjoys riding and has bred horses herself. She keeps two horses at the Highgrove Estate. The horses take part in showjumping, showing, general riding and cross-country trialling.

She often attends racing and other equestrian events such as the London International Horse Show.
