In the UK, The Countess generally starts her day looking at correspondence, writing speeches or seeing her Private Secretary to discuss matters for the day ahead or plans for her official diary.

Away from her desk however, a recent visit to the North West of England started with a visit to Timpson Limited of Wythenshawe. The Timpson family have been supporters of Childline for many years (HRH is Patron of Childline) and the company actively recruits from the long-term unemployed and ex-offenders, another area in which The Countess takes a keen interest.

Her Royal Highness toured the new offices and visited the shoe repair factory meeting many employees and members of the Timpson family, finishing the tour in the company’s training centre to see one of their leadership workshops in action.
