The Countess of Wessex works in support of her husband and in the interests of the many organisations with which she is associated.

In September 2008 Her Royal Highness returned from maternity leave and undertook over 60 official engagements during the remainder of the year.

The Countess is also associated with a number of her own patronages. These include organisations dealing with sensory, learning and communications disabilities, children's charities, and local community projects.
