Prince Michael's personal interests include transport of all kinds and sport.

Prince Michael represented Great Britain as a bobsleigh driver for many years and was a reserve for the 1972 Olympic Games. The Prince was part of the team that broke the 1,000 mile record for cars over 5,000cc in a 1929 Bentley Special in April 1992 at Millbrook.

He was also a competitive rally driver, taking part in five Mille Miglia races in Italy. He is a keen pilot of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

The Prince's other sports include scuba-diving, carriage-driving and squash.

Princess Michael has great personal interest in history and the arts, which has led to her giving lectures internationally, and writing three books. She is an accomplished interior designer, and is President of Partridge Fine Art in Bond Street, London. Her other great love is animals, in particular horses, which she rides and used to breed with interest and enthusiasm. The family has a black Labrador, and the Princess’s adored Siamese and Burmese cats.
