Princess Victoria was educated by her governess, Louise Lehzen, and by the Reverend George Davys, who taught her religious studies. She studied French, German, Italian, arithmetic, drawing and music with other tutors. Princess Victoria was talented at singing, drawing and painting and was often taken to the opera and theatre. However, the young Princess mixed little with other children, and in later years would think of her childhood as a rather sad time.

Here is a report on Princess Victoria’s studies at the age of six, written by her Governess in December 1825.
