The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visited Belize in October 1985.

Her Majesty was welcomed by the Mayor and given the key to Belize City. The Royal party spent the night in Government House before flying to Dangriga the following day where they watched a Junkanoo Dance by children and received a painting from the people of the Stann Creek District.

The Queen and The Duke also met British Servicemen and women stationed in Belize.
