THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY THE PRESS SECRETARY TO THE QUEEN

The Queen has appointed The Right Honourable David George Coke Patrick Ogilvy, the Earl of Airlie, KT, GCVO, PC, JP, to be Chancellor of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle, in place of the Most Noble Walter Francis John Montagu Douglas Scott, Duke of Buccleuch and Queenberry, KT, VRD, deceased.
