Overview
The Queen sends congratulatory messages for 100th, 105th birthdays and every year thereafter.

It is Her Majesty’s custom only to send messages to current citizens of one of Her Realms or UK Overseas Territories (see Who is entitled?). Those born or who currently live abroad, must provide evidence of their current British citizenship. This can be in the form of photocopies of the relevant pages of a recent British passport.

Please note that if the celebrant is resident in the UK and in receipt of a State Pension, the Anniversaries Office should be notified of the birthday by the DWP. In this instance you may still apply, but will not need to provide documentary proof of the date of birth.

Applications for residents of Australia, Canada and New Zealand
If the celebrant(s) currently reside(s) in either Australia, Canada or New Zealand, the completed application form should be sent to the relevant Governor-General, who, as The Queen's personal representative in these countries, arranges for these messages to be sent.
